The "Greedy Miner" was a robot our program built for First Robotics in 20152016
The "Denison Deluge" was a robot the Denison Robotics program built in 20172017
Trailer Trash was a robot the Denison Robotics team built in 20182018
•Our Robotics Team is managed and taught by Mr. Pridemore and Mr. Munoz.
•Each year we combine our student's minds with the mentor's minds to acomplish the goal of building the best robot.
•Ever since we started Robotics at Denison High School we have been to the State Competition 11 out of 12 years, and we have inched closer to 1st place every year.
•Current Events is the initiative for this year's B.E.S.T Robotics Competiton. We have to build a robot capable of operating another robot. We also have to create an Engineering Notebook. Everything that goes into building and planning the robot goes in the Notebook including protypes, measurements, along with any ideas created during brainstorming. Another important aspect of this competiton is the Marketing Presentation. Some of the Denison Robotics' top students have to put together a powerpoint presentation representing our robot and team. This year we hope to finish well in B.E.S.T so we can go on and compete at the State level.
BEST Robotics is the first main competition our program competes in, we strive to place and qualify for state
Here is the link to the best robotics website.
Our team consists of multiple parts that include, Manufacturing, coding, IT, AG Mechanics and more.
We take pride in our program and are built through leadership and perserverance. Our past classes have consistently made it to state and believe that we will be able to contiue that legacy for years to come .
Every person who comes through this program leaves better and more well prepared for careers than they came in. This can vary from hands on or tech capabilities.
Mr Pridemore has been teaching robotics at Denison for 7 years, and 14 years in total.
